MCA athletic programs are designed to enrich the students' Christian education experience. These extra-curricular activities are structured to help develop a healthy attitude toward competition, leadership, social interaction and winning/losing with grace.
It is the goal of MCA athletics that the athletes develop positive, Christ-like character qualities and express them through the medium of athletics. Athletics is a microcosm of life. The athletes are confronted with all types of life situations, perfect learning situations for teaching Biblical principles that they will see in life. MCA believes that the job of the coach is to develop these Christian characteristics in the players, and the win/loss record would be secondary.
II Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
We at MCA expect our coaches, players, parents, and students to represent Christ on and off the field of play.
I Timothy 4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
